Trains run every two to five minutes during peak hours, every five minutes for the rest of the day and every ten minutes in the evening. They travel 20.9 million km, carrying 496 million passengers, over the year.

Philipsburg is the main town and capital on the Netherland side of the Caribbean island of Sint Maarten. The island was first sighted by Christopher Columbus on 11 November 1493, but there was already an Arawak settlement there before his discovery.
