0328 Germany - Chemnitz

Chemnitz is the third-largest city in the Free State of Saxony, Germany.
Chemnitz's main shopping street has a particular urban charm and blends the historical and the modern to great effect. The High Tower of the Old Town Hall offers the best views over the market square and the rooftops beyond. The tower watchman – dressed in his historical uniform – has served as protector and timekeeper for the city's people since 1488, and today takes visitors on a journey back in time through centuries of Chemnitz history.
Chemnitz is a destination of international class, and won the DIFA award for Europe's best urban quarter thanks to its blend of industrial heritage, entertainment and nightlife.

0310 Germany - Potsdam

present

Potsdam was the residence of the Prussian kings and German Kaisers until 1918. The rococo splendour of Schloss Sanssouci was Frederick the Great's answer to Versailles. Combined with the Orangerieschloss (Orangery), the Neues Palais (New Palace), Schloss Charlottenhof (Charlottenhof Palace), and the 500 ha of parks around them, they form the largest World Heritage Site in Germany.

0266 Germany - The Free State of Saxony

The people of the Free State of Saxony are known for being warm-hearted and easy-going.
Bach, Baroque and the blue swords made famous by Meissen porcelain are the most famous examples of what Saxony’s culture has to offer. But there is more to discover such as the Semperoper, the Staatsschauspiel and the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden. Leipzig and Dresden have both developed a lively club and youth culture scene. The Leipzig Book Fair, founded in the 17th century, is the second largest in Germany. But there is more to Saxony than the big cities. It also boasts picturesque landscapes such as the Erzgebirge and Saxon Switzerland which draw countless tourists.
